A Letter from Karen
The
College of Business and Public Administration at Cal State San Bernardino has
produced 13,947 graduates--62% of whom live and work in the Inland Empire, growing
this booming economy in Southern California. The population is
increasing rapidly, thereby giving our graduates ample opportunity to apply
their entrepreneurial spirit in areas such as development, distribution,
small business, and public service. Our degree programs in both
business and public administration on the scenic new Palm Desert Campus
are also developing similar results for the Coachella Valley. Community
support on both campuses results in internships and many service learning
opportunities for our students. One business leader, for example, told
me that he is such a dedicated supporter of the College because he relies on
our graduates to be his management team, and he credits them for his
business growth. Our mission as an applied business program is
important in developing an educated workforce that in turn enables the
community to attract and keep quality jobs in this area.
Quality is the word to describe our 17
different concentrations, evidenced by
dual accreditations: AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of
Business) and NASPAA (National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and
Administration). Click HERE to view
a short presentation on why to choose an accredited business school.
Ninety-four percent of our alumni responded "YES!"
that they would
recommend our campus to a friend who wished to pursue a degree similar to
their own. Any business or organization would be pleased with such a
high approval rating.
If you are a prospective
student, I invite you to visit our campus. It's beautiful! Take some time to hear
about your opportunities to work closely with faculty, made possible by our
impressive faculty-student ratio, and to polish your leadership skills
through the many active student organizations. Your goals and
our
vision may well be the same match that it is for our current 2,400
undergraduate and 500 graduate students.
Sincerely,
Karen Dill Bowerman, Ph.D.
