Structure of the
Dean's Executive Advisory Board
CSUSB College of Business & Public Administration
Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Dean’s Executive
Advisory Board is to provide guidance to CSUSB’s Dean of the College of Business
and Public Administration (CBPA),
along with the CSUSB Provost and President, as applicable, on the Strategic Plan
and overall Development Plan of the CBPA. In addition, the Board is to
facilitate the link of CBPA to the community by advising on areas in which CBPA
may be of service to the area, as well as enhancing internship and job placement
opportunities for students.
Term of Membership:

3 year terms, beginning with the first meeting in September after
acceptance

Length of Board membership can be extended by a vote of the Board
for one additional term
Structure:
At least three persons are appointed to the
Membership Committee at the last meeting of each academic year for the following
year. The Membership Committee recommends new members to the Board at the last
meeting of each academic year. Those executives are then contacted by the Dean
for their willingness to serve.

Maximum Board membership: 50 members

Ex-Officio members: President Al Karnig, Vice-President for
Academic Affairs and Provost Lou Fernandez, and Dean Karen Dill Bowerman
Funding:
Members of the
Board, or their organization, are encouraged to join the
Business
Alliance.
$800 is set aside from the Business Alliance for annual expenses of the Advisory
Board.
Meetings:
A minimum of three meetings per year shall be
called, normally on the second Thursday of September, January, and May. |
