Kerrick Bubb (Kerry), MBA '87

Kerrick Bubb (Kerry) , MBA'87

Owner, KWB Wealth Managers

Redlands, CA

Kerrick Bubb (Kerry), MBA ‘87 credits Dr. Nabil Razzouk for encouraging him to start his own business, a venture he began in 1996.  Kerry grew up in a career military family.  He earned a ROTC scholarship and obtained his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering.  After graduating he served four years in the United States Air Force with his final assignment landing him in Southern California.  He felt technical skill combined with sales skills were keys to success and came to CSUSB to earn his MBA in marketing.  While in military boot camp his counterparts would spend their off-time reading the USA Today for sports while Kerry went straight to the business section.   This passion for business and investing led him to join a small financial services firm after leaving the military. He spent the next nine years working with this firm gaining the valuable experience and licenses needed to ultimately go on his own.   Kerry knew he wanted to blossom and with a supportive spouse and the urging of Professor Razzouk, Kerry opened the doors of KWB Wealth Managers Group.  Kerry has been named one of the top 100 Independent Financial Advisors by Barron’s and was given the 2008 General Entrepreneur award from the Spirit of the Entrepreneur event facilitated by the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at CSUSB.  His advice to students today is to not chase the dollars, realize there are no shortcuts, and work hard.  First gain skills, learn a trade and be passionate about it.  His interests involve three “B’s”:  Business, Boating and Biking (motorcycles). He enjoys these activities with his wife, two children and their three dogs.  Kerry continues to be involved with CSUSB and has served on the board of the Alumni Association.

Greg Hazard, BA '95

Greg Hazard, BA '95

Owner, Old Treasures

Redlands, CA

Greg Hazard, Marketing ’95, owns his company selling items on a website as an estate liquidator. While at Cal State University, San Bernardino and before becoming a successful entrepreneur, Greg was employed by the San Bernardino City Unified School District.  Greg served at Manuel Salinas Elementary School and in her 12 year tenure was the ONLY Bilingual Itinerant Special Education Teacher for the district where he served the learning handicapped needs of Spanish speaking children at over 25 schools in the district per year.  This position provided him with the opportunity to see the real needs of our community and collaborate with community leaders to better serve students.  Greg is an honorary member of Rotary North in San Bernardino and after acquiring an ambassadorial scholarship in 1997, he served the needs of the people of Venezuela by teaching English as a second language and administering over 10,000 polio vaccinations while abroad for the year.  He believes community service is very important for everyone.  He also believes that it is important for students who study business to have passion for what they do as it will lead to success.  CSUSB is not only where Greg earned his degree, but it is where he met his “beautiful wife Jessie of almost 12 years”; an alum who graduated with her degree in Liberal Arts and Education.  Greg’s business success is his motivation to someday become a full-time philanthropist so he and his wife can focus on helping the most needy reach their goals and dreams.

The growth I experienced while on campus has been instrumental to my success on both a personal and professional level”.  Kevin met on campus and married Anita Wolf who is also a CSUSB alumnus and they both look forward to brining their three children into the CSUSB family when ready.
