Entrepreneurship Program
The Entrepreneurship program offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as mentoring, workshops, lectures and other services to the community. The College would like to endow the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship for on-going operational funding to sustain and build its core programs such as Integrated Technology Transfer (ITTN) and Woman’s Business Centers (WBC), thus enabling the nationally-recognized entrepreneurial outreach program to continue to transform businesses in our region; as well as establish an Endowed Chair of Entrepreneurship in the Department of Management to attract a professor with successful experience as an entrepreneur and academic credentials. Sponsors are needed for the annual “Spirit of the Entrepreneur” award, as well as the fast pitch competition, dinner/lunch series with an entrepreneur, and other activities. PAES and other Scholarships
President’s Academic Excellence Scholars from the top 1% of high school graduates in San Bernardino County are funded half at the University level, and half at the college level, depending on the academic major of the individual student representative. Students enter as freshmen and receive $5,000/year for 4 years if they continue to qualify. Additional scholarships are needed annually to continue to support deserving students over time. Endowed scholarships can be named.
Arrowhead Distinguished Executive Officer Award
Inaugurated in 1990, this event has become the premier recognition for executives in this region, honoring a distinguished CEO or public figure in the Inland region. Sponsors receive community recognition.
Global Management Center
To endow a global management center for ongoing operational funding in order to sustain and build core programs that compliment both academic and external programs. To internationalize the CBPA curriculum through joint degrees, expanded international partnerships for joint degrees, faculty/student exchange programs, support for CBPA students to study abroad when the receiving country does not cover expenses; to provide expanded college orientation for international students; to co-sponsor research conferences; to facilitate CBPA international alumni networking; to support export activity; to sustain the Taiwan program.
Annual Awards Banquet
The Annual Awards Banquet honors outstanding graduate students in every concentration, as well as two graduating students with inspirational backgrounds, and brings together continuing students who are scholarship winners with the donors of their scholarships. Funds provide awards for the outstanding graduate in each concentration as well as invitations, dinner, programs.
College Excellence Endowment
The Endowment is designed to ensure competitiveness of the College in attracting top faculty and to provide long-term CBPA stability for on-going economic development of the region. Funds are used to provide summer research grants to new faculty.
Student Investment Fund
The Student Investment Fund is designed to allow students to have hands on experience in managing portfolios in a program that has faculty and advisory board oversight. Over 134 universities throughout the country have funds, and it is the desire of the College of Business and Public Administration to offer this educational opportunity. The fund, and program, would link to community businesses to serve as mentors, advisors, and partners for interns and employment.
Leonard Transportation Center
The Leonard University Transportation Center works to discover and implement transportation solutions for the expanding Inland Empire. CSUSB students learn transportation policy and management practices via multidisciplinary course work and research programs. The center focuses on research, education and transfer of the latest technology and methods to public and private users of regional transportation systems. Institute of Applied Research and Policy Analysis
The Institute of Applied Research and Policy Analysis at Cal State San Bernardino provides customized research and consulting services, and serves as a data repository for the Inland Empire. The institute advises in multiple disciplines, drawing knowledge through business, social and public policy research, surveys, marketing studies, and evaluations. CBPA Discretionary Fund
Unrestricted gifts will be used to ensure that teaching, research and learning at the CBPA will remain first class, allowing us to move the Inland Empire forward and compete in the global academic market place. Discretionary funds are often the hardest gifts to solicit – but can be some of the most valuable. Your gift will be used for teaching, technology, research, facilities and scholarships.
