reputation. Our accounting students have consistently done well
on the CPA examination, and we continue to have one of the highest passing
rates in the California State University system. In addition to
accounting and finance, we also offer real estate and financial planning

Sciences
The Department of Information & Decision Sciences' academic programs
and activities will prepare you to do just that. You will learn
the skills and applications of information and decision technology in
an organizational environment. You will be more effective as a
working professional and a contributing member of your community. And

Public
Administration
Public administration is concerned with the design and execution of public
policy at all levels of government. That is, it is concerned with the
quality of American life. There are 89,000 governments in the U.S.,
22 million people working directly for the public sector, and approximately
a third of our national GDP is generated by public agencies. Public
administration is a large vital and vital contributor to our national
well-being.
The Department of Public Administration offers
both a major and a minor in public administration at the undergraduate
level. The master’s degree, the MPA, has a general
management focus and students use electives to customize their
degree. |

MBA Program

MPA Program
The Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) is a broad program designed to prepare students for a career in administration in the public sector, not-for-profit, and social service industries. The major objective is to provide the student with a generalist perspective regarding the administration of agencies, programs and projects, and a thorough understanding of the policy-administrative system. It is accredited by the prestigious National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA).

MSA Program
The Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) prepares students for a wide range of employment opportunities in public accounting, industry, finance, government and nonprofit organizations. The program is designed to produce individuals who are qualified with knowledge and skills in Professional Accounting and Accounting Information Systems. Graduates of the program are prepared to successfully challenge a professional examination for entry into the selected area; committed professional and career development beyond their formal education into highest executive levels of the selected area; capable of becoming leaders who exhibit high standards of ethical conduct within the profession; and prepared to pursue doctoral and research studies.. |
