Department Mission

The mission of the Marketing Department at CSUSB is to provide quality marketing programs and distinctive experiences that empower the learners to become valued contributors and leaders in business and society.

• Hiring and retaining quality faculty who not only master
  their discipline, but also manifest a strong interest in
  students and a commitment to scholarship.

• Seeking input periodically from the Department's major
  publics (students, employers, alumni, business 
  community, etc.).

• Providing an assertive academic and career advising 
  program to assist students in planning their academic 
  programs and preparing for the world of work.

• Developing a "student oriented" schedule that provides 
  students with the necessary flexibility of morning, 
  afternoon or evening class schedules.

• Providing students an opportunity for developing leadership 
  skills and real world experience through participation in the 
  American Marketing Association activities and/or enrolling 
  in a meaningful internship experience.
