Career Development Center
The mission of the Career Development Center is to support the academic purpose
of the University by providing comprehensive career services which result
in a successful culmination of the educational experience. Further, our goal
is to integrate the campus and the community for the advancement of student
learning and career success. Therefore, the Career Development Center offers
programs that meet the career/life challenges of those we serve.
Learning Center
The Learning Center is located in University Hall, Room 351 and provides
a variety of free academic support programs for CSUSB students. These include
tutoring for many undergraduate courses, use of computers (IBM and Macintosh)
with pay printing, and general study aids. In addition, testing-during
limited hours and with the approval of the professor- is administered for
students who need make-up exams, students enrolled in self-paced courses,
and for those taking challenge exams.
More information may be found by calling the Learning Center at (909) 537-5038.
Writing Center
The CSUSB Writing Center, sponsored by the University's Division
of Undergraduate Studies, conducts more than 10,000 one-to-one
student writing conferences and facilitates workshops with
faculty members in a variety of campus classrooms. Many students
come to work on papers for composition courses; however, a
large number come from a wide variety of courses across the
university. Many of the 25-30 student writing consultants are
graduate students in the M.A. in English Composition program,
while others are graduate and undergraduate students from disciplines
across campus. The director is an English Department faculty
member. If you have any questions, then please visit them in
UH 387 or email them at WritingCenter@csusb.edu.
