The Supporting Group dinner was held at Gourmet Delight 501 Restaurant 釆味樓 in Monterey Park.  The purpose of this event is to seek supporting members for the Taiwan Program. Around 15 distinguished business leaders joined this meaningful event. We are very grateful that many of them accepted our invitation to be a member of Taiwan Program Supporting Group.  With their generous support, we will be able to build a successful program to benefit all participants.  For more photos please click here.

David Kao Events in 2006

Mr. David Kao who, an Alumnus of California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB), an advisor of Taiwan Program at CSUSB and one of the founders of Taiwanese Student Association at CSUSB, shared his significant life experience with Taiwanese students in two events on 10/06/06 and 11/04/06 at Jack H. Brown Hall sponsored by the Taiwan Program. The topics were how to achieve academic goal and seeking for a career in the United States for an international student. The most interesting and significant discussion attracted majority of participants was “how to apply a legal status with Immigration Office if a student plans to stay in the United States”. David Kao invited an immigration attorney, David S.W. Fang, to answer all legal questions from participants. The events were attended by more than 40 students; they felt that they had benefited tremendously with respect to study in United States and life in general from both meetings.
